Niall: "Come on Aiden, you can do it. Just say Uncle Liam." Niall and you sit in amusement as Liam tries to get your eight-month-old son to talk to him. "I believe in you kiddo!" He gently bounces the baby on his knee. After giving up on getting him to talk, Liam cuddles your baby close to his chest, and watches TV with the rest of you. After about three minutes, a tiny soprano voice cuts through the noise of the TV. "Dada." Niall's eyes grow wide, and you rush to Liam's side. "What was the Aiden?" He holds up his tiny fists and motions for Niall. "Dada." A huge smile grows on Niall's face. "He said it!" He is off the couch, and holding his son in a split second. "Uncle Liam is so much easier to say." Liam crinkles his nose, but laughs when Aiden mimics him.
Liam: "Come on LiLi." You hold your sons hands, as he wobbles in front of you. "I think he'll have it in no time babe." Liam pulls out his phone, turning on the video camera just in case. "Come to daddy." He holds out his arms, and you let go of the chubby little fingers. Little Liam wobbles a bit, before pulling one foot out in front of him. Daddy Liam starts recording as he moves the next foot, then back to the first one, then the other. He takes about ten steps before crashing into Liam's arms. "He did it!" Liam lifts him off the floor spinning in a circle. You join them in a group hug. "Did you get it?" You point to the phone. He nods, and you watch it one more time. "This is going on twitter." He quickly uploads it, and immediately the fans go wild. #littleliamsbabysteps is a worldwide trend within minutes.
Zayn: "You'll never guess what she did last night." You are at Eleanor's for a play-date. Hayden and Alyssa are just months apart, and are already really close at the age of three. "She got into one of Zayn's beers. It was the funniest thing! She was so drunk, but she only got a sip." El laughed, just as the guys come in from the back porch. "How's the barbecue coming?" Zayn wraps his arms around your waist, and kisses your cheek. "Almost done." Louis leans against the counter, wrapping his arms around El. "I think they'll get married." Louis chuckles pointing towards the toddlers playing in the living room. "I don't know man. I'm already protective of her." As if on cue, Hayden pecks Alyssa on the lips. Her eyes widen, and you are all quiet. Then out of the blue she slaps him, and continues playing. "I don't know babe, I think she can handle it herself." Everybody starts laughing, but you have to admit it was cute.
Harry: "Happy Birthday to you!" The last notes of the song are sung in perfect harmony. This is what sucks about being married to a band member. He will make your already nasty voice sound even nastier. It's even worse with the whole band there. "Blow out the candle Charlie!" Harry smiles as you daughter shoves her fist into the cake. "Charlie!" Everyone laughs, as she looks around confused. "Cut her some slack guys, she's old now! A whole entire year!" You bring out the camera as he bends down to kiss her cheek. Just as he was pulling away she flung a handful of icing into his hair. By now everyone is on the floor laughing. "This is too good." "We love you Charlie!" "Put him in his place short stuff." "That's my girl!" All of the boys crowd around Harry, but Charlie isn't done. She takes another handful, flinging it at Niall, but it hits Liam too. With in a few minutes, everyone is covered in cake, and memories have been made that will never be forgotten.
Louis: "Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!" Hayden walks around the house sing-songing his new found word. You look over at Louis, and he looks over at you. A smile creeps onto his face, but he stands up knowing this is not acceptable. "Hayden, come here." Your three-year-old obediently comes to his father's side. Lou picks him up and sets him on the counter so they are eye-to-eye. "Fuck!" Hayden giggles, but Louis puts his hand over his mouth. "Don't say that word Hayden. It hurts mummy and daddy's feelings." A worried look comes over his small face. "Oh! I'm sorry. I wouldn't mean to." Louis melts, and kisses his forehead. "I know you wouldn't. Where did you hear that anyways?" Hayden looks up at him. "You were watching football." Louis tilts his head back. "Of fu-nny." He catches himself. "Well don't say it again. Understand?" Hayden nods, and runs off to play. "Little ears hear more than you think." You smile at him. "No kidding!" He runs his fingers through his hair.
